Idol attracts smaller crowd to San Fran auditions

1

Sounds as though American Idol will have a much smaller pool from which to select a Season 13 champ.

The Contra Costa Times reports that a much smaller crowd turned out for Tuesday’s San Francisco auditions than the masses who showed up when Idol was last in town prior to Season 10.

Of course, Idol is also allowing folks to audition online these days, which could affect the number of people willing to drive hours and hours to audition and then stand in line all day for a chance to impress a producer.

San Francisco marked the second audition stop for Idol, which will also be in Detroit on July 21, Atlanta on July 26, Boston on Aug. 2, Austin on Aug. 7 and Omaha on Aug. 11.
