The Voice has proven a wonderful platform for a singer looking to build a fan base.

And it’s certainly working for Season 6 front-runner Christina Grimmie.

And helped by a string of outstanding performances in the finals, she’s widened that gap in the past month.

Since the Season 6 finals began, Christina has picked up 200,000 Facebook fans. None of the other contestants in the final five have that many total.

In the month since the Top 12 show aired, the 20-year-old has picked up 72,000 Twitter followers. No other contestant still in the competition has that many.

What’s it all mean?

Well, there’s no guarantee all those new fans and followers will vote or download Christina’s music.

But if she keeps performing as well as she has over the past three weeks, social media odds like those might prove insurmountable.

Below, I’ve posted a list of where everyone stood in terms of Facebook fans and Twitter followers as of 9 p.m. Sunday. The number in parenthesis is the number of fans or followers when the Season 6 finals started.
