Jake WorthingtonFormer Voice standout Jake Worthington announced Friday that his debut EP will be released Oct. 16.

Pre-orders will begin Oct. 2.

And anyone who pre-orders will receive two songs instantly — “This Damn Memory” and “That’s When.”

Jake leaked “This Damn Memory” for a short period earlier this week, posting it to Soundcloud.

“I can’t wait for you to hear the new music!” Jake wrote in a post to his Facebook page this evening.

Jake was just 17 when he auditioned for Season 6 of The Voice with Keith Whitley’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes.”

He turned three chairs, opted to join Team Blake and put together a string of impressive performances that took him all the way to he finals.

He wound up finishing second to Josh Kaufman, but was still the season’s biggest feel-good story.

Remember, Jake auditioned for Season 5 of the show and failed to turn a single chair.
