That post indicates she died from an extreme case of pneumonia and a blood clot that traveled to her heart.

Janice finished 11th on Season 13 of The Voice and her struggle to overcome Lupus and cervical cancer was a major part of her background story.

Janice is survived by her husband Dion, daughter Hannah, her mother Janice, brothers and sisters and many extended family members, according to the Facebook page.

“She struggled every single day,” her husband Dion says in the post. “She was constantly in pain –- literally, for years –- but was sure she would conquer it all. She just kept on fighting.”

And singing. As recently as Feb. 2, she was performing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” during a Celebration of Black History at the Hall of Liberty, Hollywood Hills.

Upon her passing, tributes poured in for Janice from her Season 13 Voice colleagues, including those below.
