But could a creative 18-year-old from East Brunwick, N.J., have the inside track on the Season 14 title?

Social media numbers would seem to indicate Jackie Cole — aka Jax — is certainly among the season’s front-runners.

Check out the fan followings below. Jax is the show’s leader in Twitter and Instagram followers. In fact, she has twice as many Instagram followers as any of the other remaining finalists.

Also take note of the number in parenthesis. Those are each contestants number of fans or followers just prior to the semifinals. Jax has picked up more Instagram followers in that time than any of the other contestants has — total, pre- and post-semifinals.

This much is certain. Should Jax find herself in need of one of Idol’s new instant Twitter saves, she’s likely to get it.
