During his intro package on The Voice, Jordan Kirkdorffer proclaimed that he loves working with spreadsheets.

Well, he’s back at it.

But after his experience on the show, the full-time accountant says he’s also hoping to pursue music more seriously than ever before.

Jordan landed a spot on Team Blake Shelton on Season 14 of The Voice with a performance of Brett Young’s “In Case You Didn’t Know.”

He was eliminated after singing “Nobody to Blame” with Wilkes in the battle round.

Here’s what Jordan told Voice Views about his time on The Voice and his music going forward.

Voice Views: I know the battles were filmed a while back. What have you been doing musically since then? And are you still working the accounting job or doing music full time?

Jordan: Since the battles I’ve been working at my old firm (Crowe Horwath) along with trying to figure out what life after The Voice would look like musically (since I knew I would not continue on after the battles aired). Now that everything has aired, I’m looking forward to working towards new opportunities in music that have come up. I absolutely will be taking this new opportunity The Voice has given me and running with it.

Voice Views: Where do you see your time on the show leading you musically? Do you envision releasing more music anytime soon and, if so, what can you tell me about that?

Jordan: The show has given me a confidence I didn’t have before and I’ve also acquired fans that I know are supporting me. It’s a crazy feeling knowing that in a matter of a few weeks I can say I have a following.

I look forward to working with Nashville songwriters and people I’m close to in the music industry to develop my sound, what I want to say and create music to eventually release and tour with. I don’t want to rush anything, and give myself time to explore my style as an artist (which I feel like I got to do on the show and especially during the battle round), but I absolutely will be releasing music.

Voice Views: Do you think you grew as an artist as a result of The Voice experience? If so, in what way?

Jordan: I did grow as an artist. Not only in my confidence, but I was pushed to find my style, and the way I would sing a certain song, and not exactly like how the original artist did. I’m really thankful for being given “Nobody to Blame.” Chris Stapleton is an artist that is extremely hard to compare to, so being given his song was a daunting task. It really made me step up to the plate and find how Jordan Kirkdorffer would do it.

Voice Views: Other than the new friends you made, what do you think you’ll remember most about the experience?

Jordan: I’ll remember how it feels to wake up everyday and be doing something I loved. I loved creating music with people and not having any other distractions but that. Everything I did while I was a part of The Voice was aimed at creating music and I was the happiest I have ever been during that time.
