Fans of The Voice didn’t get to see much of Jordyn Simone on Season 14 of The Voice.

Both her blind audition and knockout round performance — her only two solos — were montaged, a fact she calls “disheartening.”

The only time we saw a full performance from Jordyn was during a Team Alicia Keys battle round match with Kelsea Johnson. They performed “Don’t Let Go (Love)” by En Vogue, and Jordyn was so impressive that two coaches, Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson, pushed their steal buttons.

Jordyn wound up being eliminated in a Team Adam knockout round match with Reid Umstattd, but makes it clear that we’ll be hearing more from her in the future.

In fact, she hopes to release an EP this summer, one that demonstrates the musical diversity we didn’t get to see on The Voice.

Here’s what Jordyn told Voice Views about her time on the show and her music moving forward.

Voice Views: I know the knockouts were filmed in early February. What have you been doing musically since then?

Jordyn: Since the knockouts, I have integrated back into my high School life, preparing for prom, grad night and graduation along with finalizing my college acceptance for next year. Musically, I have been writing my own music as I continue to develop my sound artistically and working hard to release an EP this summer

Voice Views: Where do you see your time on the show leading you musically? As for the new music, what can fans expect?

Jordyn: I recognize now that I am a dynamic, authentic, and driven artist who truly enjoys performing on stage. If anything, The Voice uncovered that I have so many layers and only touched the surface with my three performances. On the show, I performed threee different genres — country, R&B and pop. As I am writing my own material I want to continue to show my love for these types of genres and ultimately blending my sounds.

Voice Views: What was your favorite performance from The Voice and why?

Jordyn: My favorite performance was the knockout round where I performed “Tell Me You Love Me” by Demi Lovato. I’m a huge fan and was excited to be able to share my version. I was very disappointed that they chose not to air one of my best performances. During this performance I was able to truly take my experiences from the first two rounds and connect emotionally with the lyrics of the song and deliver them on the stage.

Voice Views: Do you think you grew as an artist as a result of The Voice experience? If so, in what way?

Jordyn: I am very humbled by the experience and journey that I was afforded by The Voice. But it was disheartening to have two performances montaged. As artists, we all work really hard on the show to perfect our craft and share with America our “BIG” moment. With only one performance (televised), I felt I was not given the opportunity that most of the contestants had to touch as many fans as possible with my love for music.

“I’m truly moved by so many fans that have reached out with their encouraging words saying ‘don’t stop singing’ and they have even started a movement #JusticeforJordyn. Thanks to ALL OF THEM!

Voice Views: And two of your performances were montaged. Is there anything in particular fans didn’t get a chance to see that you wish they had regarding your artistry?

Jordyn: What my fans missed with my other performances is my passion for singing and my love for entertaining. While I explored three genres on the show, I was just getting started.

During the live shows I was looking forward to sharing my love for Latin music with a bi-lingual song, going back to my roots with gospel, and slowing down with a couple ballads and acoustic music. I want my fans to know that my social media platforms are all about self empowerment and as I write my own music I want to empower everyone to be their authentic selves. Stay tuned for Jordyn Simone!
