Josh Gallagher, a former Voice finalist, released a new single Friday.

Former Voice finalist Josh Gallagher is back with a catchy country single that’s meant as a tribute to fans, the military and blue-collar workers.

The song is called “Boots Like Mine” and it’s the followup single to Josh’s self-titled debut EP, released earlier this year.

Josh was 25 when he landed a spot on Season 11 of The Voice. He wound up making it all the way to the finals, finishing fourth.

He predicts that “Boots Like Mine” will be one of those songs “people will latch onto” because “country music is blue-collar to the bone.”

And those folks are the focus of Josh’s new single.

“Without those people going to work every day and making a pay check, and then spending part of that pay check on concert tickets to watch their favorite artists play, we artists wouldn’t have a job,” Josh notes.

Speaking of going to see an artist perform, Josh has a bunch of shows set up for this fall, including several in Pennsylvania.

He’ll also be performing at a NASCAR race in Richmond on Sept. 21 and at Blake Shelton’s Ole Red in Nashville the following night.

Check out all of Josh’s upcoming shows on his website. And watch for the video for “Boots Like Mine,” which will drop Sept. 6.

Here’s a snippet of the new single.
