Well here’s a post-Voice EP that will leave you wanting more.

Josh Hoyer and the Soul Colossal has just released a three-song EP called “End of the Night.”

It’s Josh’s first release since appeared on Season 12 of The Voice.

The EP features the great title track — absolutely one of the best post-Voice songs I’ve heard so far in 2018 — and ends with the another great pop-soul track, “Rosario.”

On his website, Josh describes the EP as a solo side project, the result of a writing session with veteran Nashville songwriter Jay Knowles, who has worked with Blake Shelton, and Jon Coleman, Trace Adkins’ band leader and producer. Coleman also produced the EP.

“I typically write, arrange, and produce my own music, so collaborating with other accomplished writers, musicians and producers to create this EP pushed me out of my comfort zone and resulted in some really cool tunes,” Josh writes on his website.

“I learned a lot in the process that will help me make the next Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal record the best yet.”

Josh was 40 when he auditioned for Season 12 of The Voice and landed a spot on Team Blake with his performance of “Oh Girl” by the Chi Lites. He was eliminated in that season’s battle round when pitted against eventual Top 8 finisher TSoul.

Josh and the Soul Colossal will be plenty busy in 2018. They already have more than 50 shows dates on their 2018 calendar.
