Don’t be too alarmed by the headline on this blog, Kellie Pickler fans.
I should have written that her hair was falling out. Or so Kellie says.
Anyway, she came up with a solution.
She cut a lot of it off.
Sorry if I’ve lost you. There have been lots of twists and turns in this tale.
First, Kellie shows up at the County Music Awards with auburn hair. (Personally, I didn’t like it).
A month later, she went back to blond.
That’s when the trouble started, according to a blog on Kellie’s MySpace page. All the color changing damaged her hair.
“My hair started falling out!” Pickler explains in the blog. “It was so damaged I looked like a scarecrow so I chopped it off!”
Go here to read the blog and get a look at her new hair style.
The good news: Kellie’s boyfriend, Nashville songwriter Kyle Jacobs, doesn’t mind all the hair trauma and drama.
“He’d love me if I was bald, and vice-versa,” she says.
As for the other Idol tidbits:
* Anna Wilson will release the single, “You Don’t Know Me,” on Friday. The song features season eight Idol contestant Matt Giraud. In fact, his part is featured in the 30-second clip you can hear on amazon.com.
According to Matt’s tweets, the two will be performing the tune Friday night at a show in Grand Rapids, Mich.
* Just a reminder, because I already posted this news a couple of weeks ago: We Are the Fallen, featuring season seven Idol Carly Smithson on lead vocals, will release a first single, “Bury Me Alive,” next Tuesday.
Carly and the guys we be playing at Sonar in Baltimore on March 27. Tickets went on sale Friday. Go here for information.
Here’s a link to the press release announcing the single.
* Finally, The Associated Press is reporting that Carrie Underwood will make her guest appearance on “How I Met Your Mother” in an episode that will air March 1.
As I reported earlier this month, she’ll play a character named Tiffany, “an enigmatic pharmaceutical sales rep” and a love interest for Ted (Josh Radnor). At the time, we just didn’t know when the episode would debut.
