OK, it sounded a little strange hearing Kelly Clarkson being welcomed back as part of The Voice family Tuesday night.

But there the original American Idol winner was, taking the stage decked out in red to sing one of the original tunes on her new “Wrapped in Red” Christmas album.

Of course, it wasn’t the first time Kelly appeared on The Voice. She served as a mentor for Team Blake last year during Season 2.

And appearing on the show Tuesday night gave her a chance to plug her upcoming “Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale,” set to air Dec. 11.

Kelly sang “Beneath the Tree” during Tuesday’s elimination show.

Here are the photos from the performance, courtesy of NBC.
