As of midnight, his cover of “I’m Already There” had cracked the Top 25 on iTunes overall singles chart and the Top 10 on the iTunes country singles chart.
By 10 a.m., it had climbed to number 10 on the iTunes chart.
Rankings on that chart are based on a combination of downloads and streams of an artist’s songs.
In a major rule change, The Voice has gone away from awarding bonus points to any singer who lands in the Top 10 on the overall singles chart.
Instead, during each week of the finals, an iTunes bonus will be awarded to the singer who has the most streams of his or her performance night song on Apple Music.
Two Team Adam members also had especially strong showings on iTunes.
Tyke James benefited from his unique take on “I Do It For You,” and Reagan Strange likely got a boost from being the last artist to perform Monday night. She sang “You Say.”
Here are the iTunes rankings as of 10 a.m. Voting closed at 7 a.m. eastern time.
As always, keep in mind that genre-specific chart to chart comparisons are impossible. Some charts — pop and country in particular — are much tougher to scale than the others.
