Kris Allen: Despite crash, the tour goes on

“Glad to make it out of this #outalive,” for Idol winner Kris Allen tweeted yesterday, accompanied by the photo below.

For those who hadn’t heard, Kris and his wife were in a Jan. 1 auto accident.

Kris' carKris landed in the hospital with a broken wrist.

But he also tweeted a thanks to Ford for “equipping me with a car that kept my whole family safe.”

That would include his dog Zorro, his wife Katy and the baby the couple are expecting.

Yep, Kris also used news of the crash to announce to fans that he and his wife are expecting their first child.

Fans will also be glad to hear that the Out Alive Tour “is still on,” according to Kris’ tweets.

If so, Kris will be appearing in this area by the middle of the month.

He has a Friday, Jan. 11, gig planned at World Cafe Live in Philly. Ticket prices range from $19 to $29.

And he has a Monday, Jan. 14, show planned at Ram’s Head Live in Annapolis, Md. Tickets are $19.50.

In other words, Kris, recover quickly.

The tour is named after “Out Alive,” one of the finest tracks off Kris’ “Thank You Camelia” album, released last year.
