Kris Allen, New Idol Music

Kris Allen’s new album set for May 22

1

Big news for fans of Season 8 American Idol Kris Allen.

His new album will be called “Thank You, Camellia.”

That’s the cover art to your right.

And the album will be out May 22, which, probably not coincidentally, is the week of this year’s American Idol finale.

Pre-orders for the album are taken here now, and anyone who pre-orders gets a download of his catchy new single, “Vision of Love,” released last week.

If you haven’t heard the song, check it out here.

As for the pre-orders, there’s a deluxe version of the album that includes extra tracks. There’s even a vinyl version of the album.

And the press release tells us that Kris has a co-write on every track, something that didn’t happen on his 2009 post-Idol debut album.

Here’s a link to that press release.

So excited for “Thank You Camellia”!

Kris has performed quite a few new songs live from this era. I’ve heard every single one and think that they’re all pretty damn good. To think that his other new songs are just as catchy(if not more)than the lead single “The Vision Of Love” really does say a lot about the quality of his sophomore effort. Hoping and praying that his second album is well received by many. If all goes smoothly it could very well be his breakout album. IMO

May 2012 is such a crazy time for Idol album releases. My other Idol fave Haley Reinhart is releasing her debut album “Listen Up!” on the exact same day as Kris’s “Thank You Camellia”. A very awesome day for both music and Idol fans to say the least. 🙂
