Laci Kaye Booth, from American Idol Season 17, has released her first music video.

Former American Idol standout Laci Kaye Booth dropped her first music video recently.

It’s for “Shuffle,” the lead single off her post-Idol debut album, and a song she co-wrote with Derrick Southerland and Sam Ellis.

The video finds Laci working in a music shop, surrounded by three male admirers, but more wrapped up in the music around her.

“I remember dancing around my living room as a kid watching the music videos of my country music idols!” Laci, 25, writes on social media. “Now I have my own out. This is such a pinch me moment.”

The song pays homage to other female country artists, with titles of songs released by Dolly Parton, The Dixie Chicks, Miranda Lambert and others sprinkled through the lyrics.

“With this video I hope people can see how much I admire and appreciate music of all eras and of all forms.” Laci says in a press release about the video. “I am an artist, but most importantly I’m such a fan of music at heart and I hope that’s something that’s visible and that I can share with my fans.

“I could’ve never made it to this point of my life without the incredible influence of the women of country music.”

Laci’s superb self-titled debut album dropped last summer via the Big Machine Label Group. Other gems in the eight-song collection include “Treasure” and “If He Would’ve Stayed.”

Laci finished Top 5 on Idol Season 17. Here’s the music video, which premiered on CMT. CMT has also named Laci one of the Next Women of Country 2022.
