Fans must have liked what they heard when the battle round began on The Voice Monday night.
At noon Tuesday, when voting typically ends for The Voice live shows, all six songs from Monday’s show were charting on iTunes. Four had cracked the iTunes Top 200 singles chart. Two had hit the Top 10 on a genre chart. And one made it all the way to number one.
That would be the highly-touted duet of “Walking in Memphis” between Team Blake’s Barrett Baber and Dustin Christensen, both of whom turned four chairs in their blind audition.
Blake selected Barrett as the winner of that battle, but Dustin was stolen by Adam Levine, so he’ll advance to the knockout round as well.
As of noon, “Walking in Memphis” was 48 on the iTunes Top 200. It was number one on the iTunes’ rock chart.
Right behind them on the Top 200 singles chart is the duo of Mark Hood and Celeste Betton, who performed “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”
Mark advanced when Pharrell Williams declared him the winner of their battle round showdown. No one stole Celeste, so she was eliminated.
But both are winners on the chart, with their song checking in at number 59 on the iTunes Top 200 as of noon.
It was also number five on the iTunes’ R&B/soul chart.
The other four songs from Monday’s show? Here’s where they stood at 9:30 a.m.
* Jordan Smith and Regina Love were at number 117 overall and at 40 on the iTunes pop chart with “Like I Can.” Jordan advanced on Team Adam; Regina was stolen by Gwen.
* Ellie Lawrence and Tim Atlas were at number 171 overall and at number 22 on the alternative chart with “Sweater Weather.” Ellie advanced on Team Gwen; Tim was stolen by Pharrell.
* Zach Seabaugh and Tyler Dickerson were at number 132 on the country chart with “Gonna Be Somebody.” Zach advanced on Team Blake Shelton; Tyler was eliminated.
* Dustin Monk and James Dupre were at number 60 on the rock chart with “Fortunate Son.” James advanced on Team Adam; Dustin was eliminated.
