Amelia Eisenhauer of American Idol Season 24

Idol returns to ABC on Monday, Jan. 26, with the judging trio of Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and Lionel Richie.

Here’s more about Amelia.

* She’s a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and 2021 graduate of the Berklee School of Music.

* Season 24 will mark her second try at American Idol, and the first one — on the show’s finale season on FOX — went pretty well.

* Back in 2016, at age 15, Amelia made the Top 24 on Idol. She auditioned by playing fiddle and singing “Many Rivers to Cross” by Annie Lennox and received praise from all three judges.

* She advanced all the way to the Season 15 semifinals before being eliminated, but got to duet with former Idol standout Kellie Pickler and sing Avici’s “Wake Me Up” as a solo during that round.

* In 2017, she released a 13-song album album called Fortune Cookie as Amelia Eisenhauer and The Peruvian Farm Girls.

* Amelia dropped a single called “The Money Song,” her first release in seven years, in October 2024 and followed it up with a single called “Say” in November of this year. Check out “Say” below.

* At the time of her first Idol audition, she was lead vocalist for a Nashville-based family band that included her mother and brother. In fact, her family moved from Illinois to Nashville so Amelia could pursue music.

* And she already played a number of instruments, including mandolin, fiddle, piano, guitar and bass.

* In fact, according to her Facebook bio at the time, Amelia started taking violin lessons at age 6 and joined her first band, The Pickin’ Chicks, at age 9.

* She announced that she auditioned for Season 24 on Thanksgiving.
