Jacqueline Dunford, Season 11

Meet American Idol contestant Jacqueline Dunford

Jacqueline Dunford is back for another go at American Idol, which isn’t too surprising considering how things ended for her in Season 10.

Remember Jacqueline?  She and boyfriend Nick Fink were featured in a last year’s audition show from Austin, Texas.

They were determined to go through the Idol experience together, until he got eliminated on the first day of Hollywood.

Jacqueline made it through the group round, only to come down ill and have to bow out before her final solo performance.

This year, she admits she just squeaked by the judges in the audition round.  No mention of where Nick might be.  He wasn’t among the golden ticket recipients in Galveston.

Jacqueline, of Scottsdale, Ariz., says she’s been performing ever since seeing “The Sound of Music” as a child, but is often misjudged by peers because she’s blond and a former cheerleader.

“Girls are always like, ‘Wow, I thought you were going to be stuck up and mean, but you’re really fun and hilarious,” she explained.

“I think in order to be an Idol, you have to be an overall well-rounded performers,” Jacqueline says in her golden ticket interview.  “I’m a dancer, a people person. I think I’m someone people could relate with.”

Now, some non-Idol performances.

“Come Together”

“Sir Duke”
