Jaz LeBlanc says friends, family and everyone else she interacts with who have heard her sing have encouraged her to do something with her gift.
“Why not do the biggest show there is?”
So she tried out for American idol in Galevston and walked away from the auditions with a golden ticket.
Jaz says she’s been performing since she was 3 or 4 and sang at a family reunion.
Though she’s not a country singer, she says Carrie Underwood is her favorite Idol, because she sings music that means something and is such a solid live performer.
Jaz hopes someone can say the same about her one day.
“With a name like Jaz, I’ve been giving it justice my whole life, and now is an opportunity to take it farther than I ever have,” she said in her golden ticket interview.
