Ciasia Nicole is among the artists who reportedly auditioned for Season 20 of American Idol.

Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 27. Here’s more about Ciasia.

* Her full names is Ciasia Nicole Greene, though she goes by “CC.”

* She’s a teenager from Elizabeth City, N.C., and was 16 when she participated in a Check the Resume Spotlight program last summer.

* Check the Resume, offered through Elizabeth City State University, gives talented high school musicians an opportunity for professional mentorship and to put on a live show. Ciasia’s performed at Arts of the Albemarle in July.

* Earlier in 2021, she posted a moving cover of “A Change is Gonna Come” in the wake of a police shooting and subsequent protests in Elizabeth City, which came on the heels of the Derek Chauvin trial.

* Ciasia said her goal was to uplift spirits “in this trouble time … I pray you all stay safe, continue to lift each other up, stand in unity, and remember ‘A Change is Going to Come’.”

* Ciasia describes herself as a versatile performer whose repertoire includes pop, R&B, jazz and opera.

* Her trademark, she says, is changing songs around by incorporating riffs and runs “to fit my personality and style.”

* And in her Talent Watch profile, she says she started singing around age 2.
