The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Sept. 20. Here’s more about Jeremy.

* He’ll be a familiar face to some singing show fans, having finished Top 13 on Season 11 of American Idol back in 2012.

* That year, he was Jennifer Lopez’s wild card pick to make the finals, nearly bringing her to tears with a performance of Carrie Underwood’s “I Know You Won’t.”

* The next week, he performed Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon in the Sky,” but landed in the bottom two on results night and was eliminated.

* He sings for a living at Reliant Family Church in Tampa, according to an April interview with the Florida Courier.

* And he’s released plenty of music since Idol, including an album called “Heartbeat” in 2015, an EP called “Rewind” in 2017 and a seven-song pop collection called “You” from last summer.

* One of his first post-Idol releases was a song called “Hope for Tomorrow,” released in 2014 with proceeds going to support recovery efforts in the Philippines following a devastating typhoon.

* His most popular song on Spotify is “Trust” from the “Rewind” EP with more than 142,000 streams. Standout tracks from his latest album include “Fake Smile’ and “Still Here.”

* Jeremy’s Instagram page has been pretty stagnant for the past two years. But one of the last covers posted there was “Breathin'” a song originally recorded by new Voice coach Ariana Grande.

* Jeremy was being interviewed by the Florida Courier in April because he was diagnosed with COVID-19 just before Christmas and was still experiencing symptoms. He’s since received the vaccine and said he would encourage other Floridians to do likewise.

* Since Idol, he has been signed over legal guardianship of his grown niece Jocie and refers to her as his daughter.
