Joey Ciccione is among the artists who auditioned for the new season of American Idol.

Season 23 kicks off Sunday, March 9 on ABC with Carrie Underwood joining Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan at the judges’ table.

A sneak peek will air Sunday after the Oscars.

Here’s more about Joey:

* He’s a singer-songwriter from Uitca, N.Y., who describes his vocals as “authentic and vulnerable” in his Spotify bio.

* He’s been releasing music under the stage name JoeZoe and has at least five collaborations on streaming sites.

* The most successful is a cover of Bishop Briggs’ “River” with the female singer UNDY.

* Their version of “River” has been streamed nearly half a million times on Spotify. A TikTok of them singing the song has been viewed more than 479,00 times.

* Speaking of which, Joey has more than 24,000 followers and more than 50,000 likes on his TikTok.

* Other releases, all from 2024 include “Loves Love” with Rob Martini; “Falling Down” with Marcel Martenez; “Just the Thought of You” with DJ Creativity; and “The Paradox” with Osphor.

* He’s studied culinary arts at the State University of New York Schenectady County Community College and worked as a pastry chef at an Italian restaurant, where he’d also perform.
