Her audition: We saw just a bit of it, but Keaira LaShae, 26, of Tampa, Fla., sang “Killing Me Softly” and enticed Cee Lo Green to spin his chair.

Her background: In her Voice bio, we’re told Keaira sings at clubs around Los Angeles and works as a fitness and dance instructor to make ends meet. She has also worked with Daily Burn, a website featuring at-home workout videos.

On being on Team Cee Lo: Cee Lo was the only coach to turn around during her blind audition, which was fine with Keaira because she wanted him as her coach anyway. “I love his creativity,” she said the day after her audition aired. “I love the fact that he is so outside the box. He’s not afraid to try something crazy. He’s not afraid to try something new. And he’s also very motivational.”

What the show didn’t show: According to her Facebook bio, Keaira caught the “music bug” at age 7 after choreographing a dance, entering a competition and beating out competitors twice her age. She sang at church, fronted a three-girl pop R&B trio at age 14, got into dance and fitness and eventually opened her own dance studio in San Antonio called Street Beatz. She has a trio of tunes on a soundtrack for a Christian film called “Unattended: The Cost of Neglect;” the soundtrack was released last year. More recently, she’s been working on a self-titled EP that her website says she plans to release soon. She’s already released some of the songs to iTunes as singles, including “Drunk Love,” “Frankie,” “Superhero” and “Love Junkie.” While she says she loves all types of music, she calls R&B and pop her main genres. Oh, and judging from her Twitter feed, she’ll be featured in Essence magazine in early 2014.

Quote: “I feel connected to Cee Lo because he’s just as crazy as I am. I’m a little out there. I love to sing, but I love dance as well, so I can’t wait to see what kind of stuff he’s going to come up with and what we can create as a team.”

On iTunes: The full-length studio version of her audition song, the four singles mentioned above and the “Unattended” soundtrack. Keaira’s three tracks are available individually.
