Her audition: Lauren-Michael Sellers, 35, Birmingham, Ala., “Oceans” by Hillsong United: The coaches stayed put for a while. But when the songs swells and Lauren shows off her power, chairs start turning — Gwen Stefani, Michael Buble and Reba McEntire turn in quick order. Lauren continues with an emotional performance and a last-second turn by Snoop makes her a four-chair turn recipient. Michael called her “a beautiful breath of unique fresh air.” Gwen said her performance seemed real and honest. Reba loved the way she could feel the emotion in the performance. Lauren decided to join Team Reba.

* She describes herself as Georgia grown, Birmingham (Ala.) forged and the “powerhouse sound of heartbreak” in her Instagram profile.

* On Spotify, she writes that she’s been performing since age 6, plays multiple instruments and writes her own music.

* And she’s released four singles this year, “The Shelf,” “Holding Out Hope,” “Fallin’ All In” and “Take Me Back.”

* The latter, which you can check out below, dropped in late August and was completed in conjunction with Song House in Nashville.

* Those singles are just a small sample of the music Lauren-Michael has released over the years.

* On Bandcamp and Soundcloud, you’ll find music released in 2011 around the time she was performing as a solo artist while attending Birmingham-Southern College.

* In 2013, she became lead singer and primary songwriter for a band called The Heavy Hearts that included two other Birmingham-based musicians. They released an album, “Keep Your Lights On,” in 2014.

* Lauren-Michael has also posted several impressive covers to her Instagram. She calls Adele’s “Someone Like You” here go-to karaoke song.

* In her Spotify bio, she writes: ““Music provides me a safe-space to release all my emotions & experiences, giving a voice to all those heavy thoughts & feelings left unsaid, and the means to navigate through all the uncertainty, loss & heartbreak that comes from being a trauma survivor.”
