Madison Lewis from London, Kentucky, reportedly auditioned for American Idol Season 18
And among the singers we might meet during the audition round is Madison Lewis.
Here’s more about Madison.
* She’s a 16-year-old singer-songwriter from London (southeastern), Kentucky, with a jazz and Americana focus.
* She told Kentucky Music Preview that she grew up in a musical family and started taking guitar lessons around age 10, which helped her development as an artist.
* At just 14, she released her debut album in 2017. It’s a 10-song collection of originals called “Back to the Blue.”
* Ken Holbrook produced the album. Here’s what he said about Madison: “After listening to the final mixes of this project, I had the realization that I was listening to the beginning of a something really special – a cross between Joni Mitchell and John Prine. The level of musical sophistication that Madison possesses at the ripe old age of 14 is just plain baffling.”
* Her experience includes performances at Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta and the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.
* Madison also told Kentucky Music Preview that she has a wide range of musical interests and, at the time, she said she tended to gravitate toward old-school artists.
* That appreciation apparently hasn’t changed. Madison has recently posted photos of her and her brother attending shows featuring Queen, Sammy Hager, Tanya Tucker, Joe Walsh and Mickey Dolenz.
