Here’s more about the sisters. The Voice returns Monday, Sept. 20, on NBC.

* The sisters are a duo made up of Macie, 15, and Marie, 13, from Hamilton, Ohio. Mace just completed her sophomore year at Hamilton High School; Marie just completed eighth grade at Wilson Middle School.

* They hail from a musical family. Their great grandfather sang and played guitar for a gospel group called The Holy City Travelers. He had 10 daughters who formed a gospel group called The Franklin Sisters. That group included Macie and Marie’s grandmother.

* Their father, Marc Cunningham, played drums and sang with both groups and is a deejay, according to an article on Spectrum1 News.

* While the teens have been singing since they were young, Marc told The Journal-News that the official duo started about two years ago.

* Marie told The Journal-News: “I like our connection. With my sister, I can talk to her about anything, and when we sing, it just flows. It’s like the songs we sing, it’s like we’re singing to each other, and uplifting each other.”

* While they don’t appear to have released music yet, they’ve posted several covers to their YouTube channel in the past five months.

* They also teamed up with Camo_513, a 14-year-old rapper from Cincinnati, Ohio, for an impressive cover of “If I Ruled the World.” You can check out the music video version below.

* The duo is parent-managed, according to their Instagram, where they also list themselves as dancers and models.

* Their father told The Journal-News: “They are culturally aware of what’s going on in the country, the division. We just want to unify people through love, through God and through music. That’s their goal, is just to make the world a better place by using their gifts that they feel like God gave them.”
