Her audition: Tori Templet, 24, Atlanta, Ga., “Lover” by Taylor Swift: Hmm, another very nice singer-songwriter voice. Tori earned chair turns from Michael Buble and Adam Levine once she hit the chorus. Once she got the first chair turn, her performance got even stronger. Michael called her voice “beautiful.” Kelsea loved the way she made a Taylor song her own. Adam liked the purity and simplicity of Tori’s voice. She opted to join Team Adam.

* In her Spotify bio, she describes herself as a 25-year-old from Atlanta “currently trying to find a balance of building my platform as an independent artist and navigating the real world.”

* The independent artist bit would appear to be going pretty well. This young lady already has three songs on Spotify with more than 1 million streams.

* Those include a lovely mellow 2019 single called “Butterfly Rain,” a song called “Classic” from her 2021 album “Seasons” and a collaboration called “All I Ask” with a male singer named Palmer. Check out “Butterfly Rain” below.

* Tori hasn’t released new music recently, but check out her musical “love letter to 2024,” posted on the last day of the year. Lovely vocal.

* Writes Tori: “I wrote this song a few days ago while i was reflecting on how formative this year has been and made a little video with the camcorder i brought along for all my adventures 💌 i cannot wait to share what the new year has in store. remaining excited & joyful!”

* Oh, and she addresses the four-year gap in releasing music in a blog post on her website, explaining that she was growing up and “struggling to figure out what my purpose was in life.”

* The good news for music fans is that she’s back to writing music — about 30 songs in the last few months — and hopes to release “some things in 2025 and play a few shows.”

* Before the music gap, Tori developed quite a following on TikTok with nearly 150,000 followers and more than 12 million likes on her posts.

* Tori’s a 2022 graduate of Baylor University where she studied journalism with a focus in advertising and minored in English, according to her website bio.

* In her Voice bio segment, Tori says her job is in brand marketing with a sandwich company.

Update: Since her Voice audition aired, Tori has released her full cover of “Lover.” She’s also released “Heart’s a Liar,” her first original in four years. “This was the first song i wrote after about a 2 year hiatus, and it’s all thanks to my Voice family for encouraging me to keep pursuing this wild career,” Tori writes on Instagram.
