Megan Danielle turned just one chair with her blind audition for The Voice Season 18.

But she landed exactly where she wanted to be on the show.

The 17-year-old from Douglasville, Ga., auditioned with a cover of Adele’s “Remedy.”

She had Kelly Clarkson proclaiming “wow” within the first few notes and turning her chair a few moments later.

When the song ended with no other chair turns, Megan automatically became a member of Team Kelly, which was just fine with both singer and coach.

Oh, and it turns out it wasn’t Megan’s first shot at The Voice.

Here’s what she told Voice Views about her blind audition.

Voice Views: How did you wind up auditioning for The Voice Season 18 and what prompted you to do it? Had you ever tried a show like this in the past?

Megan: I’ve always wanted to audition for The Voice, but after the first two times auditioning and not making it through I tried American Idol. But they told me no. So I decided to try The Voice again. Sadly, I got a no for my third time, and I felt discouraged. So my mom, dad & family influenced me to try again in Atlanta, Ga.

Voice Views: Why did you choose “Remedy” for your audition song? What’s your performance history with that song (for instance, is it one you’ve played often)?

Megan: “Remedy” has always been one of my favorite songs by Adele. I’ve always sung this song in karaoke, open mic nights, etc. I chose “Remedy” because it means so much to me. It’s a reminder to my siblings that even though we’ve been through so much in our lives, I’ll always be there for them.

Voice Views: You seemed thrilled to land on Team Kelly? Why do you think that’s a good fit for you?

Megan: I’m so thrilled to land on Team Kelly because I absolutely love her! Her, her personality, her music — they’re all so amazing. I feel like she could relate to some of the things that I have faced in my life and she’d understand me more as a person and an artist. She’s a wonderful artist and I look up to her so much.

Voice Views: And what was that blind audition experience like? You were about two-thirds of the way through your performance before Kelly turned. Were you getting nervous at that point?

Megan: Throughout the blinds, I was a nervous wreck. While performing the song, I was shaking so bad. I was so afraid to not make it on the show! But as soon as Kelly turned around I was relieved and felt so blessed, but not even because I made it on the show, but because I got the coach I hoped for!
