Tyler Cain and Meghan Linsey have released their first single as Meg and Tyler.

Former Voice runner-up Meghan Linsey has a new fiance and a new duet partner.

They’re both Tyler Cain, her longtime boyfriend and music collaborator.

Together, they’re Meg and Tyler and they just released their first single, the fun and sassy “Mardi Gras & Rhinestones.”

“It’s about bringing people together,” Meghan told All Access about their debut single. “We’re all about love and acceptance and we want that to translate in our music.”

The duo announced the new project last month at the CMT Music Awards, then gave fans at CMA Fest in Nashville a first taste of the new single with a flash mob and mini Mardi Gras parade.

As for the engagement, it came during a recent trip to Alaska.

On Instagram, Meghan summed up the trip this way: “Well, our six-show tour of Alaska was pretty mind blowing! Along the way, we bottle fed a 9-day-old llama, went fishing off a glacier and met some of the most genuine people ever.

“Oh yeah, and we got engaged!! Have you ever been to Alaska? If not, we highly suggest it (in the summer time).”

The actual popping of the question by Tyler was a surprise, according to People, and came as the couple were filming the music video for another Meg and Tyler song, “Nowhere With You.”

Meghan, 31, was runner-up on Season 8 of The Voice. Tyler, 34, is a music producer who’s also collaborated with Big & Rich, Darius Rucker and many others.

Of course, Meghan first gained acclaim as an artist as part of the country duo Steel Magnolia, winning Season 2 of “Can You Duet” on CMT and going on score three Top 30 country hits.

Here’s “Mardi Gras & Rhinestones.”
