Previous blog: With his debut album just days away, Michael “Big Mike” Lynche has released his first music video for the song “Who’s Gonna Love You More.”
In the video, we’re reintroduced to his wife Christa and daughter Laila Rose, who was born while he was competing in Hollywood Week for American Idol Season 9.
We even catch a glimpse of the new addition to his family, infant son Kingston Michael, born earlier this year.
As for the music, “Who’s Gonna Love You More” is the lead single off a self-titled album due out Tuesday.
A second single — “Today” — is now available on iTunes. It’s more up-tempo, but similar in theme in that it’s another love song.
“The meat of the record is a time for lovers,” Michael said in a recent radio interview. “The record has a lot of versatility to it in that it’s honest to what I was feeling that day.”
In the same interview, Michael described Idol as “an amazingly intense boot camp” for someone entering the music business and Big 3 Records for “never putting a time limit on me” in terms of releasing the album, which comes more than two years after his fourth-place finish in Season 9.
