New post-Voice music out this week includes country singles from Adam Wakefield, Dexter Roberts and Bailey Rae.

Adam Wakefield from Season 10 with Jenny Leigh

* Adam Wakefield, runner-up on Season 10, teamed up with wife and longtime musical collaborator Jenny Leigh to release a special duet called “Finding Time” on Friday. Writes Adam: “Our daughter, Fern Templin Wakefield, was born exactly one month ago today on April 16th. She is beautiful and perfect and everything we could have dreamed of and more. This song is for her.“ Most of Adam’s recent releases have been with Texas Hill, also featuring Voice Season 7 champ Craig Wayne Boyd and former American Idol standout Casey James. They released an album called “Heaven Down Here” in January.

Bailey Rae from The Voice Season 19

* Bailey Rae from Season 19 released “Oklahoma Girl” on Friday. The catchy chorus has her singing “I’m an Oklahoma girl in s Taxes boy state of mind.” Understandable since Bailey Rae recently played shows in Abilene, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin. Oh, and since The Voice, she was named the 2021 Texas CMA Young Art of the Year and winner of the Texas Country Showdown. “Oklahoma Girl” is her first release of 2022.

Dexter Roberts of The Voice Season 16

* Dexter Roberts, third on Season 16, let nearly three years pass between his appearance on the show and his release of follow-up music. But he’s been making up for lost time. Thursday, he released “Standing Knee Deep in the River,” a song written by country star Lee Brice. It follows “Country as Country Comes” and “Friday Night” as his third single of 2022. Dexter also finished Top 7 on American Idol back in its 13th season. Oh, and the new song will have an accompanying music video. Dexter posted a snippet of it to social media on Saturday.
