Among the post-Voice music released recently are singles from Katrina Cain, Beat Frequency, Anthony Paul, Allé and Cáthia.
Here’s a look at each of those releases.
The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.
* Katrina Cain from Season 15 is the featured vocalist on the addictive “Take Me Down (What If),” the latest single from the Miami-Los Angeles based production duo PenzDeep. Writes Katrina on Instagram: “I literally drove around my neighborhood blasting this over and over again today, I’m so stoked how this little song turned out.” More music is coming, and not just pop music as Katrina Cain. She recently announced a side project which will see her releasing music in the folk Americana vein as JESSAMYNN.
* Beat Frequency from Season 3 dropped a pop single “On We Go” earlier this week. It follows the release of a fun music video for the song featuring “late summer days in the Pacific Northwest, a pair of early 2000s rollerblades, a ’56 T-Bird … Let the good vibes roll.” After a quiet period, the duo of Natasha Neuschwander and Shawn Lewis has returned with a vengeance, releasing an album and four singles since 2019.
* Anthony Paul from Season 5 recently released “Sidelines,” his second single of 2020. Writes Anthony on social media: “Out of all of my songs so far, ‘Sidelines,’ really pushed me and caused me to grow in ways I didn’t see coming. It is one of my proudest quarantine projects and I hope y’all love it as much as I do.”
* Allé, from Season 3 released her new pop single “Fallin'” on Friday. It’s the fourth release of 2020 from the young woman we met as 17-year-old Alessandra Guercio on The Voice. Crowned a winner of America’s Most Talented Kids at age 8, Allé also appeared on American Idol and has been searching for her own sound, something she believes she’s found based on the “Who’s Alessandra” documentary that came out in August.
* Cáthia from Season 4 released the all-Spanish feel-good single “De Una” on Friday. Google tells me “de una” is a popular expression among friends, the equivalent of “right now” or “let’s go” in English. It’s the second single of 2020 from Cáthia, who was 19 when she appeared on the show back in 2012 and sang her entire audition in Spanish.
