Yeah, guys, apparently it’s true. Carrie Underwood is engaged.
The Associated Press even snapped a photo (above) of her wearing her engagement ring while watching fiance Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators during an NHL game Monday evening. Here’s a link to the AP story.
Meanwhile, the holiday shows featuring the 26-year-old Carrie will be rebroadcast this week. Tuesday, “Carrie Underwood: An All-American Holiday Special” airs on FOX (8 p.m. EST). Wednesday, “Home for the Holidays” airs on CBS (also 8 p.m. CBS).
And tickets for Carrie’s show in Reading, Pa., went on sale Friday. Here’s a link to the Ticketmaster page for more information.
Speaking of Carrie touring, I spoke with York Fair Vice President Gene Schenck on Friday. At this point, he said Carrie’s not among the acts the fair has asked about playing here in 2010.
Maybe that will change. She played at the fair in both 2006 and 2007, and fair directors brought two Idol winners here this year, David Cook and Kelly Clarkson.
Besides, Carrie shouldn’t be getting married or off on her honeymoon at that time.
After all, the 2010 fair will likely coincide with the start of training camp for Ottawa’s 2010-11 season.
