The first of those — “Órale” — landed Friday.
“It’s what #Mexicans say when we’re excited and I’m freaking excited!” Valerie explains on Instagram.
Valerie grew up in the west Texas town of El Paso and, according to a press release, the son was inspired by her memory of Mexican summer block parties.
“Hopefully, it will give you a little taste of what a fun west Texas party night is like,” she adds.
Valerie was a four-chair turn recipient back on Season 12 of The Voice.
While “Orale” is her first single of 2019, she released a single called “My America” and an EP called “Timeless” last year.
Here’s a snippet of “Órale” (pronounced “Oh-raw-leh”).
