The Monday night showdown between American Idol and The Voice is becoming a one-sided battle. And the size of the audience between the two shows keeps growing. For the fifth straight week since The Voice began airing Season 29 episodes, it was drubbed by Idol Monday night. Idol’s rating among 18 to 49 years…
Keyla Richardon’s rousing, show-ending performance on Monday night’s American Idol turned out to be the most popular of the evening. Two days after the show aired, her performance video of “With a Little Help from My Friends” has been viewed more than 2.6 million times on Idol’s Facebook page. That’s four times more views…
American Idol will have lots to accomplish in its next episode Monday night. The show will start with a Top 14 reveal, as six members of the Top 20 are eliminated. The Top 20 performed in groups of 10 over the past two episodes, and the results of fan voting will be announced. Idol…
Nine more singers earned spots in the knockout round as The Voice concluded the battles Monday night. Mike Steele earned a steal from Adam Levine in one of the night’s top matches. And Voice fans will see five three-chair turns take the stage — Houston Kelly and Abigayle Oakley of Team Kelly, Ashley Marina and Mike Steele of Team Legend and Jeremy Keith of Team Adam. Fans don’t seem to be embracing The Voice’s new Battle of Champions format. Meanwhile, American Idol seems to have picked up viewers with its move from Sunday night to Monday night. The latest TV numbers show American Idol recorded a 0.4 rating among 18-49 year olds for its Monday night episode, which featured performances…
Hannah Harper has done it again. And I really don’t think her fans have to worry one bit that she might not make it into the Top 14 on American Idol. For the second straight round, Hannah’s performance was far and away the most popular from the first night of Top 20 performances. As…
The second half of American Idol’s Top 20 perform Monday night. Now we know voting will run from the start of the show through 6 a.m. the next morning. What hasn’t been explained, is how the Top 14 will be selected. I’d remind everyone again that a year ago, the top five vote-getters from each…
Kelly Clarkson waste no time using her Super Steal on The Voice. But surprisingly, she used the steal not to steal a contestant, but to keep one of her own contestants during a battle round in which there are no saves. Huh? How is that even allowed? Well, it was. She did it. And…
