After Idol, Ryan had roles on a couple of hit TV shows (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation; That ’70s Show). She  also appeared on a number of reality TV programs, most noteably season three of VH1’s “The Surreal Life” (alongside Flavor Flav, Charro and Brigitte Neilson) and FOX’s 2008  “Gimme My Reality Show.” She didn’t win. She has also modeled and, at one point, was designing a rockish swimsuit line called Chained. Musically, she has yet to record the rock album she envisioned post-Idol. She did release a well-received rock single, “My Religion” in September 2004. It’s available on iTunes. And though her MySpace is inactive, you can still find several songs there. The last I heard about Ryan was two years ago when she had joined a saucy, hard-bodied, all-girl rock-dance quintet called the Darling Stilletos (photo link).  “We live and breathe rock n roll and we are here to bring it back to all the females out there who are looking for some girls who can rock,” she blogged at the time. The Darling Stilletos are now a quartet, minus Ryan.

Does anyone still have Starr’s songs from her MySpace account? None of her songs are available on iTunes or Spotify anymore, and “My Religion” is the only one on YouTube. Since they were all released through MySpace though, I imagine that there isn’t any licensing issues with re-uploading them somewhere, if anyone happened to save them. I never had the chance to hear them, so I hope that they haven’t completely disappeared!
