Scotty McCreey and Gabi Dugal were married Saturday.

American Idol Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery married longtime girlfriend Gabi Dugal on Saturday during a ceremony in the North Carolina mountains.

“We’ve been dating six years and have known each other our whole lives,” Scotty told People, which published exclusive photos from the wedding.

“That kind of story doesn’t happen too often nowadays. I support her dreams and she supports mine.”

Taste of Country reports that they’ve known each other since kindergarten and began dating around the time Scotty was on Idol, but didn’t make the relationship public.

They got engaged in September. Both are now 24. Gabi is a nurse at Duke University Hospital.
