Sofronio will be singing “Superman,” his post-Voice debut U.S. single. The song will be released Tuesday as well.

Snfronio’s Voice coach Michael Bublé had a hand in writing the song, along with Ross Golan, Maureen McDonald, Johan Carlsson and Peter Karlsson.

Sofronio also recently released a pair of holiday duets — “My Grown Up Christmas List” with David Foster and “Maybe This Christmas” with Michael.

“When you’re new, you pray for someone to give you a chance,” Sofronio wrote on social media. “@michaelbuble didn’t just give me a shot, he gave me his time, his wisdom, and his voice. I’m still in disbelief.”

Tuesday’s two-hour season finale is set for 9 p.m. and will also feature holiday songs by the coaches and their finalists.

And, as usual, The Voice is lining up a list of performers who have no connection to Season 28.

Those include: Neal Schon and Journey, the South Korean girl group XG, Noah Cyrus, Riley Green, Khalid and knockout round mentor Zac Brown.

For more recent fans of The Voice, I have to point out that the finale used to be much more of a celebration of the season just completed.

For instance, in the Season 3 finale, every member of the Top 20 performed and every performance but one included at least one singer from that season.

In fact, Season 3 champ Cassadee Pope took the stage for four performances before the results were announced.
