I honestly have no idea what’s going to happen on The Voice tonight.

Conventional wisdom says Renzo of Team Legend should take the crown with ease based on a string of standout performances dating back to the blind auditions.

But The Voice format has been an absolute mess in Season 27, and stretching the season out to 16 weeks — and throwing in some recap shows for good measure — has meant contestants have disappeared for weeks at a time.

And that, folks, is a surefire way to neuter the impact of a string of standout performances from an individual contestant.

I also suspect viewership has declined sharply, which could impact the outcome. Bottom line, almost anyone could win this thing.

Adam David, a former addict, has the most compelling backstory and turned in two strong performances Monday night.

Jadyn Cree has come on strong late in the season and should be able to capitalize on the voting base her dad established en route to a third-place finish just two seasons ago.

And Jaelen Johnston is the guitar-slinging, male country artist Voice fans have always rallied for. I won’t be surprised to see him in the final two in spite of his major flub on his first performance Monday.

The only singer I’d rule out is Lucia Flores-Wiseman, which is a shame because I think she’s the second most deserving contestant after Renzo. Voice fans have just never supported female singer-songwriter types, unless they’re very young.

Remember, tonight’s results show doesn’t begin until 9 p.m. The Voice loves recaps and will air another between 8 and 9 p.m.
