The new Billboard music charts were released Thursday, and they delivered good news for Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina.

Scotty seemed shocked last week when told his single was number one on iTunes most downloaded chart.

Well, his “Love You This Big” wound up debuting at number three among digital downloads on Billboards, following only Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” and Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything.” It debuted a spot ahead of Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory,” she song she performed on the American Idol finale.

“Love You This Big” also debuted at number 11 on the Hot 11. And Scotty’s compilation album of songs from Idol checked in at number six among digital album downloads, according to Billboard.

Lauren Alaina?

Her single, “Like My Mother Does,” debuted at number 11 on the digital singles chart and number 20 on the Hot 100.

Her Idol compilation album was number nine among digital albums, Billboard reported.

Check back later and I’ll have a complete rundown on how other Idols did on the music charts this week.
