American Idol wrapped up its Season 14 auditions with a second episode from San Francisco Thursday night.

And teens ruled the night, with a show that featured former Voice contestant Adanna Duru, 17, as the show-opener and 16-year-old Tyanna Jones as the show-closer.

In between, we met a pair of 15-year olds — Daniel Seavey and Jaq MacKenzie — who are clearly serious musicians in their own right.

Here’s a recap. Next stop: Hollywood.

Adanna Duru, 17, student, Diamond Bar, Calif.: And we start tonight with a voice from The Voice. Adanna was on Season 3 of the NBC hit that has eclipsed American Idol in popularity. Adanna says singing has always been a huge part of her life. She used to perform at middle school talent shows. She’s auditioning with Lady Gaga’s “You and I.” And the judges will be crazy if they don’t advance Adanna, because she’s doing a very good job with this audition. And I wrote that before her voice absolutely soared on the chorus. Jennifer says she’s the “full package.” Keith thought she sounded great. And, yep, Adanna is Hollywood bound.

Christopher Michael, 26, unemployed, Los Angeles, Calif: He’s going to audition with an original about dealing with stress. Not sure if this is a joke audition or not. But it isn’t very good. And he doesn’t advance.

Hunter Larsen, 20, Malibu, Calif.: This young lady is a hostess at a restaurant, a nanny and she helps out at a flower shop. She’s going to audition with “That’s Life.” Jennifer calls her audition very interesting and likes the gritty tone in her voice. And Hunter is another unanimous yes for Hollywood. Idol appears to have found another character.

Tara Honda, 22, server/cook, Murrieta, Calif.: She auditions with “I Feel the Earth Move.” Harry Connick Jr. says he’d buy her rendition of the Carole King hit. The other judges love her voice as well.

Daniel Seavey, 15, student, Portland, Oregon: This teen says he’s a pretty confident guy and that a lot of people compare him to Justin Bieber, though that’s not his style. He plays guitar, piano, violin and lots of other instruments, apparently. He’s going to sing “Hallelujah” on piano. Next, he plays “Straight Up” on guitar, and it’s better than his version of “Hallelujah.” Jennifer says he has a really beautiful voice, but she caught only glimpses of it. Harry says no. Keith says yes. Jennifer is on the fence, but votes in favor of sending him to Hollywood.

Rocky Peter, 27, street musician, Dunbar, Calif: This guy was born in America, but his father sent him and his mother back to Africa and abandoned them there. Music is the one thing he’s always had, he says. He’s going to sing an original called “Wrong Places.” Jennifer says she loved the song and thought he has a beautiful voice. He gets three yes votes to advance.

Jaq MacKenzie, 15, student/actress, Santa Monica, Calif.: This young lady goes to a school for the arts and is also going to audition with an original, that might be called “You Waste My Time,” after having her heart broken. Jennifer says she has the makings of a “great artist” one day. Harry says he can tell she takes music seriously. Keith likes her distinct singing style. And Jaq gets three yes votes.

Tyanna Jones, 16, student, Jacksonville, Fla.: And now we meet the final audition contestant of Season 14. She’s one of 11 children. She says her family underwent a lot of hardship when she was young, including two years when they were homeless and had to live in a church. She says she’s been singing since she was 5. She’ll sing “Wings.” She performs a cappella and does a very nice job, of course. Jennifer calls her “very talented.” Harry says she’s a special young lady and “extremely talented.”
