Terry McDermott released his long-awaited new album, “Beautiful Destruction,” on Friday.

“It’s been as grueling a process making this record as any in my whole career,” he wrote on Facebook,
“but I think the results will speak for themselves.”

Fans are likely to be thrilled with the results. The eight-song album features a number of hard-driving rockers.

Highlights include the memorably titled “Elephant on a Skateboard,” the power ballad “Out of Our Minds” and the album-closing “Lost Again.”

“Beautiful Destruction” stems from a Pledge Music campaign Terry launched about a year ago.

In fact, you can still head to his Pledge site to order physical copies of the EP, or autographed copies if you’d like. A number of other offers also are still available.

Terry, of course, finished second to Cassadee Pope on Season 3 of The Voice.

He’s since released a series of singles under his own name, a 2014 EP (Palmetto Heights) as Terry McDermott and The Bonfires and a 2015 full-length album (“Rabbit Hole”) with his pre-show band, “Lotus Crush.”

Terry will be celebrating the release of “Beautiful Destruction” with a show at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles tonight (Friday, May 4).

Here’s “Elephant on a Skateboard.” Be sure to check out the rest of the album.
