Jennifer Hudson will perform during the Hope for Haiti telethon tonight. (AP Photo)If you’re going to turn on the TV tonight, it’s going to be difficult to avoid the “Hope for Haiti” telethon.

Then again, if you’re a music fan, why would you want to?

The commercial-free telethon will air on NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX , MTV, VH1 … and the list goes on.

Scheduled performers include Beyonce and Bruce Springsteen, Bono and Rhianna, Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake among many others.

And there’s apparently going to be at least a few American Idols on hand.

Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson will be among the performers.

“We’re gonna have 18 songs, and you’re gonna get to hear Jennifer Hudson sing a song you never heard her sing before,” George Clooney told MTV in this story.

David Archuleta will be on hand for the Hope for Haiti telethon tonight. (AP Photo)And David Archuleta and Katharine McPhee will be involved in some way.

David tweeted last night that he’ll be answering phones and taking pledges during the event, so I don’t think he’ll be a performer.

As for Kat, she tweeted about her involvement an hour ago. She also posted it on her MySpace page. What she’ll be doing … I’ll provide an update if I find out.

Music from tonight’s telethon will be available via iTunes.
