The Voice has announced its entertainment lineup for Tuesday’s Season 24 finale.
Hope you’re more impressed than I am.
Performers that night will include Jelly Roll, Tyla, AJR, Keith Urban and Earth, Wind and Fire.
The Season 24 coaches will team up for a performance of “Let It Snow.” And we’ll also be treated to a performance by Season 25 coaches Dan + Shay.
The finalists? Mara Justine? Huntley? Lila Forde? Ruby Leigh? Jacquie Roar?
Well, they join with other members of the Top 12 for what the Voice is calling a special group performance.
And each will take the stage to perform with his or her coach.
But if this is like most recent Voice finales, they’ll disappear for large portions of the show.
It wasn’t always that way. Once upon a time on The Voice, the finale actually seemed like a celebration of the season just completed.
Nearly every performance included an artist from that season. Celebrities showed up, but they showed up for duets with the finalists.
And each finalist got to pick partners from that season’s cast for a group performance.
More recently, The Voice has gotten into the habit of inviting celebrities to perform solo, regardless of the fact that they have no connection to the show.
Yawn.
In other words, wake me up when it’s time to announce the winner.
Which The Voice will do as the credits roll, so there’s not even time for a celebration song.
Oh well, one bit of good news is that Season 22 champ Bryce Leatherwood will return to perform Monday night.
The Voice hasn’t confirmed it, but he might be performing a song call “The Finger.” He released it in late October and it marks his first post-show single.

Only guests I recognize are Keith Urban and Earth, Wind & Fire.
Thank you again, Mark, for telling the truth about “The Voice.”
The other recappers online just give grades and state which contestants were safe and who were eliminated.
“The Voice” is about the coaches and the gimmicks.
In addition to reading this blog, my sister and I read MJsBigBlog, which has recaps of other shows we enjoy – Dancing With The Stars, America’s Got Talent,, etc. MJsBigBlog also keeps up with news about alumni from various shows, telling about concert tours they are doing, singles and/or albums they’ve put out, movies and/or TV shows they are starring in, etc.
