After The Voice

The Voice standout Chris Jamison releases new music video

7 The Voice standout Chris Jamison has released a second music video from his debut EP.

The video is for a song called “Truth,” about a man hoping to patch up a struggling relationship after a fight with his wife.

The song is featured on the “I am Chris Jamison” EP released in mid-August. Chris had already released a video for the song “Better Man.”

And videos for the other two songs — “Guilty” and “Heartbeat Away” — are planned as well, Chris says on Facebook.

In fact, he says he shot all four videos in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Chris placed third on Season 7 of The Voice, then signed with Republic Records.

But that union failed to produce any music that was released. In a Podcast, Chris says he wound up playing the role of a “sex symbol, lady’s man, heartthrob kind of guy” on the show, “but that wasn’t me at all.”

When he arrived at the label, they expected the persona from The Voice and he found himself recording music written by other people that he had trouble connecting to.

Not so with the songs on his EP. He wrote all four.
