Congratulations, Cassadee Pope.

The Voice’s Season 3 winner hasn’t even taken the stage tonight for the official premiere of her first single.

And, already, “Wasting All These Tears” has cracked iTunes top 10.

Over on the country chart — NUMBER ONE!

Just ahead of her former coach Blake Shelton’s new single, “Boys Round Here.”

But I doubt you’ll hear Blake grumbling too much about that.

I can’t wait to hear her sing the song live tonight.

And to see what that does for her chart performance.

Well, The Voice certainly didn’t make us wait long. Cassadee’s performance kicks off tonight’s show.

Great song, right folks? And as impressive as that flourish was at the end — a Cassadee trademark en route to the Season 3 crown — the official version of the song is even better.

Cassadee also delivered this bit of news: Her upcoming album has an October release date.

As for the impact of tonight’s performance?

As of 10 p.m. EST, an hour after The Voice ended, Cassadee’s single was up to number three on iTunes.

Folks, for a Voice artist post-show, that’s a rare feat.

Here’s hoping country radio takes notice.
