Questions remain as to whether Season 19 will be worth watching.
Oh, and there will be a coaching change, NBC revealed Tuesday in announcing its fall 2020 schedule.
Nick Jonas will not be back for Season 19. Gwen Stefani will return to take his place.
Also back — and this is worth a cheer, fans — the Tuesday night episodes.
That could be an indication that The Voice is planning a full slate of at least six live shows.
Hopefully, an announcement about that will be forthcoming before Season 19 begins.
The Voice has mangled its format the past two springs seasons, reaching an all-time state of foolish folly not worth viewers time this spring.
The show let coaches hand pick semifinalists for the first time ever, manipulated results so that each coach was represented in the season finale and went from a Top 17 to a winner in a laughably short period of three episodes.
Any hint that the same is in the works for Season 19 and I’d have this advice for viewers: Tune out.
