The American Idol summer tour made its second stop in Chicago Saturday night after opening in Detroit on Friday.
Tonight marks show number three in Minnesota, with stops in St. Louis, Kansas City and Denver set for later this week.
Here’s a link to the only review I could find of the Chicago show.
Opening night was marked by empty seats, a performance of a Colton Dixon original and Phillip Phillips’ return, singing “Home” while backed by Deandre Brackensick and Colton Dixon.
Here are some video highlights from the Chicago show.
Looks like Heejun Han was having a blast. Looks like Jessica Sanchez might have been wearing a skirt Jennifer Lopez wouldn’t have found “middle-America” appropriate.
The video isn’t great on the Hollie Cavanagh clip, but the audio is one of the best I’ve found yet of her performing on tour.
Phillip Phillips and Elise Testone — “Somebody That I Used to Know”
Jessica Sanchez, Heejun Han, Deandre Brackensick — “Party Rock Anthem”
Hollie Cavanagh — “Rolling in the Deep”
