The Voice coaches faced some tough decisions during the battle and knockout rounds.

Imagine their quandary tonight when they each had to select one of four singers to advance.

Here’s guessing Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani will have the most difficult decisions to make.

Chances are, neither of Pharrell’s male R&B standouts will not be among his team’s top two.

So does he advance Mark Hood, who oozes charisma? Or does he advance Darius Scott, who’s probably a slightly better singer from a technique standpoint?

Gwen Stefani made the correct choice in bringing back Ellie Lawrence. But her success in the live playoffs cut put Braiden Sunshine and Viktor Kilary on the brink of elimination.

Does she advance Viktor, who’s clearly more ready for prime time right now? Or does she advance Braiden, hoping he proves the most popular of this year’s batch of very young singers?

We’ll get to watch it all unfold over the next hour.

We’ll also get to watch Sawyer Fredericks sing his new single, “Take It All.” It’s off a four-track EP he released today.

And, wow, it’s been received pretty well. For more on the EP, head here.

And it looks like we’ll start off with Team Gwen.

Team Gwen results

* Jeffery Austin advances on fan votes. He’s been great his last two outings.
* Braiden Sunshine advances on fan votes. I’m a little surprised by that. His Monday performance was one of Team Gwen’s weakest.
* Korin Bukowski gets the coach’s save on The Voice. She just about collapsed at that news. Love that she’ll get another chance; Monday’s song choice did her no favors.

That means Viktor Kilary, Ellie Lawrence and Regina Love are going home.

Team Blake

This should be a country sweep, but we’ll see what surprises voters have in store.

* Barrett Baber advances on fan votes. He’s the most polished of Blake’s country quartet.
* Zach Seabaugh advances on fan votes. Guess those Elvis-like hip shakes paid off.
* Emily Ann Roberts gets the coach’s save from Blake Shelton. Surprised she needed it considering how well she did on iTunes.

That means the elimination of Nadjah Nicole, Ivonne Acero and Morgan Frazier.

Team Pharrell

Madi Davis had better advance. Beyond that … well, this should be interesting.

* Madi Davis advances on fan voting. Right now, she is my favorite in this competition.
* Evan McKeel advances on fan voting. I wasn’t a big fan of his performance last night, but he’s been solid throughout.
* Mark Hood gets the coach’s save from Pharrell. Not surprised. He’s the show’s best showman.

That means the end of The Voice road for Riley Biederer, Celeste Betton and Darius Scott.

Team Adam

So they left the least suspenceful results for last. I mean, we know Amy Vachal and Jordan Smith are advancing. The Voice world might stop turning if they don’t.

* Advancing on fan votes is Jordan Smith. Of course. The show clearly wants him to win.
* Shelby Brown advances on fan votes. That’s a bit of a surprise. Not complaining. She deserves it after Monday’s performance.
* Amy Vachal gets Adam’s coach’s save. That was pretty much a given once Shelby advanced on fan voting.

That means Blaine Mitchell, Keith Semple and Chance Pena head home.
