Catching up on new music from artists we met on The Voice.

Will Breman from Season 17 has released an excellent three-song singer-songwriter style EP called “Searching for the Crown of Bliss.” The closing track — “Closure” — is superb and you can check it out below. Says Will: “This one is a continuation/finishing of all the songs I wrote while in a folk band many years ago, so on one end this signifies the end of that chapter, and in a way the end of my 20s really … It feels like a weight lifted.” Will made the semifinals on the show back in 2019, and you can get a quick snapshot of what he’s been up to since on his Instagram.

Rebecca Brunner from Season 13 has released an EP called “20 something.” It consists of six songs she recorded in conjunction with Song House in Nashville. Three are brand new. The EP features two versions of her hit “Round Hole,” which has more than 10 million streams on Spotify. Another track, “I Found You,” has nearly 1.5 million. Rebecca also competed on Season 21 of American Idol, made it to the Top 55, but never appeared in the episodes that aired. Idol’s loss, I’d say.

Dylan Gerard, also from Season 13, has released a five-song EP called “From the Shelf.” Post-Voice, he spent time recording with the SSM Nashville label. The EP is made up of songs recorded, but never released. “Need a Little Downtime” is a standout among the impressive collection. Dylan also recently traveled to Germany and appears to have gotten engaged on the trip. Congrats, Dylan, who wrote that another song from the EP — “That Was a Good Day” — pretty much summed up the trip.
